During a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Korea Lee Jae-myung, Chinese President Xi Jinping stressed the need for joint efforts to protect free trade and strengthen strategic trust between the two countries. He also noted the importance of coordination in international issues and maintaining the sustainability of global production chains.
Xi Jinping called for intensifying exchanges at all levels and developing multilateral cooperation. According to him, only close cooperation between Beijing and Seoul will help effectively support the principles of multilateralism and promote global economic growth.
The Chinese President paid special attention to issues of humanitarian cooperation and mutual respect for the key interests of the parties. He said that the stable and deepening relations between China and South Korea are in line with the spirit of the times and contribute to peace and prosperity in the Asia-Pacific region.
