Hainan expands its presence in the global aviation market

Плоскость

Hainan Province is rapidly increasing international air transportation, strengthening its status as a global transportation hub.

The southern Chinese province of Hainan continues to develop international flights as part of the Free Trade Port project. Since the end of May alone, the number of flights on the Haikou —Kuala Lumpur route has been increased to eight per week, and the Haikou -Hong Kong route is now served 35 times a week. According to the Hainan Daily, air transport plays a key role in the logistics of the island region.

In May, Hainan Airlines opened the first direct passenger flight from Haikou to London, reducing travel time by almost five hours compared to the connecting route. In addition, the province has established regular flights to major cities around the world, including Seattle, Moscow, Singapore, Tokyo and Dubai. As a result, an extensive network has been formed, covering Asia, Europe, Oceania and America.

From Hainan, you can fly to 21 Asian countries and regions in four hours — that's almost half of the world's population and a third of global GDP. In eight hours— it has already reached 59 countries. In addition to developing aviation, the province is modernizing maritime logistics: Yangpu Port accepts more and more international vessels, and since the end of 2023, China's only office for the registration of foreign vessels has been operating here.
