Golfers from Tomsk, Irkutsk, and Harbin, China, came to the center of Siberia. The first stage of the competition turned out to be both Siberian and international. A total of 16 players participated in the tournament.
Over the two playing days, the golfers competed in the individual Strokeplay and Stableford competitions, taking into account the official handicap and without, in doubles and team competitions.
Zhu Qi Yun, originally from Harbin, told the correspondent of NIA-Krasnoyarsk that he has been interested in golf for 30 years, but started playing only in Irkutsk. Now he has arrived in Krasnoyarsk and is sharing his impressions with his Chinese friends, sending photos and videos. My friends are surprised – "this can't be happening in Siberia."
"There is a wonderful golf course here, it's fantastic that there is a golf club of this level in Siberia," Zhu Qi Yun notes.
As a result, he took third place in the men's Strokeplay competition and, together with his teammate, took the bronze medal in the doubles competition.
