Sergey Kramintsev, Minister Counselor of the Russian Embassy in China, noted that out of the total number of students from China, about 56,000 are undergoing bachelor's, master's and postgraduate programs, and another 10,000 are undergoing language training. According to him, interest in Russian higher education among Chinese citizens continues to grow.
About 21-22 thousand Russian students study in China annually. Kramintsev recalled that Moscow and Beijing set a goal to bring mutual academic mobility to 100,000 people per year, and current figures of about 88,000 have already approached this benchmark.
The diplomat stressed that compared to the pre-crisis period, the volume of educational exchanges has increased by almost a quarter. He noted that Russia intends to further expand cooperation, remaining open to international students.
