The Pacific Symphony Orchestra and the Northern Symphony Orchestra of the Shenyang Conservatory held a joint concert on the Days of Primorye in Liaoning. The program includes famous works of Russian and Chinese music, from classics by Tchaikovsky and Sviridov to popular songs that do not require additional explanations to listeners. The highlight was the performance of "Katyusha", which the audience received especially warmly.
Sergei Shebalin, Chief Conductor of the Pacific Symphony Orchestra, noted that music makes it possible to better feel the culture of another country and see the commonality between peoples. According to him, it is cultural interaction that creates an atmosphere of trust and makes international forums more meaningful.
The Primorye Days, which take place on December 8-9, include cultural, business and presentation programs demonstrating the region's potential. During the event, the parties confirmed their friendly relations and intention to develop cooperation in the economy, science, culture and the humanitarian sphere. In addition to the concert, the program includes a business forum, meetings of entrepreneurs, gastronomic workshops and sports events aimed at expanding interregional ties.
