Chinese tourists in Moscow often choose borscht, dumplings and caviar

Борщ

Guests from China show interest in traditional Russian cuisine during their trips to the Russian capital.

Chinese tourists coming to Moscow are increasingly including local cuisine in their mandatory travel program. The most popular dishes among them are borscht, dumplings, caviar, as well as pickles, fish and meat snacks.

At the same time, as representatives of the tourist market note, interest in Russian cuisine is combined with the need for familiar food. During long trips, many tourists from China visit restaurants of national cuisine, preferring hogo, Sichuan and Northeastern dishes.

Experts identify several patterns of tourist behavior: some actively try local cuisine, others prefer exclusively Chinese dishes, and most combine both approaches. This format allows guests to get acquainted with the gastronomic traditions of Russia, while maintaining the comfort of their usual meals.
